Desiccant Breathers
Air Sentry® Desiccant Breathers replace existing breather/filler caps or air vents on fluid holding tanks, reservoirs and gearboxes. Older style breathers provide minimal, if any, protection from moisture or particulate ingression. Utilizing color indicating silica gel and a self-cleaning 2-micron filter, Air Sentry® breathers provide the first line of defense in contamination control and increased equipment reliability.
As contaminated air is drawn through the breather, multiple 2-micron polyester filter elements remove solid particulate and the color-indicating silica gel extracts moisture. When air is expelled from the reservoir, the activated carbon foam pad prevents oil vapor from contacting silica gel.
The D-Series is constructed of industrial grade raw materials and tested to ensure a wide range of chemical compatibilities. They feature high impact resistant ABS top and bottom caps. The clear acrylic tube makes it easy to inspect the condition of the color-changing silica gel from a distance. The silica gel turns from gold to dark green to visually indicate the adsorption of moisture and confirm the breather is getting the job done! All D-Series models feature 2-micron solid particle filtration and are available with airflow ratings of 20 cfm.

X-Series Breathers are the perfect solution for high humidity and high dust environments. The X-Series Breathers incorporate two check valves and a reusable top cap. The check valves provide a closed system until airflow is required, extending the service life of the breather. When the silica gel is spent, simply remove the reusable top cap from the bottom desiccant cartridge, dispose of the spent desiccant cartridge, and then replacement with a new desiccant cartridge.

Air Sentry® Z-Series breathers are designed for applications where space is limited or air flow requirements are below 5 cfm. The Z-Series is typically used on gearboxes and pumps.
